Typical Applications
- Sizing of unlaminated and single-face laminated wood-based panels (chipboard, MDF, plywood) using the ATB tooth form—suitable where only one face or neither face carries a decorative laminate.
- Sizing of double-face laminated panels (melamine-coated chipboard, melamine MDF, HPL-faced panels) using the TCG tooth form in combination with a scoring saw blade—the scoring blade pre-cuts the underside laminate to prevent breakout on both faces.
- Panel sizing on sliding table saws and table saws in furniture manufacturing, panel processing, and joinery facilities.
Key Performance Advantages
- ATB tooth form for unlaminated and single-face laminated panels: the alternating bevel produces a clean cut face and smooth surface on the upper face without the need for a scoring blade.
- TCG tooth form for double-face laminated panels: the flat top and chamfer geometry produces chip-free cuts on both faces when used with a scoring saw blade, preventing delamination and edge breakout on melamine and HPL surfaces.
- Long cutting life through the use of premium tungsten carbide grades—maintaining sharp edges and consistent cut quality over extended production runs.
- Low cutting resistance and stable running due to anti-vibration body design (expansion slots with optional TPU fill) and precision tensioning.
Application Notes
- For double-face laminated panels, always use the TCG panel sizing saw blade together with a matching scoring saw blade; the scoring blade must be set to the correct depth and aligned with the main blade kerf. See our Conical Scoring Saw Blades for Panel Sizing and PCD Conical Scoring Saw Blades for Panel Sizing.
- Match tooth count and feed speed to panel thickness and density—higher tooth counts give finer surface finish; lower tooth counts improve chip evacuation on thicker panels.
- Ensure the sliding table saw or table saw is correctly adjusted for blade parallelism, fence alignment, and blade height before production.
- Specifications can be customised to machine type, panel thickness, and laminate type. Contact us with your requirements.
